For an environmentally friendly, sustainable and integrated local transport solution
Who are we ?
Acting Ecologically, Respectfully is an association created in 2020 by a group of residents of Saint-Gervais and Le Fayet. The association aims to:
Challenge and oppose the plan to install a telecabine link between Le Fayet and Saint-Gervais,
Offer support and advice to people who will be adversely impacted by the proposed telecabine project
Suggest alternative, low-impact and sustainable transport solutions better adapted to the needs of locals
Why are we contesting this project ?
Destruction of local environment (including deforestation, impact on wildlife, noise pollution, light pollution, traffic congestion and increased pollution at the Le Fayet hub, etc.)
Economic consequences for the municipality (including long term debt and inevitable tax increases)
Insignificant impact on the transport habits of local residents. A massive investment to meet a negligible needA tourist objective disguised as public transport, but equally unsuited to the needs of our visitors
What we offer
Suggestions for the development of practical, low impact and non-polluting public transport alternatives, which take into account the real needs of local residents
Preservation and conservation of the rich and varied local environment
Input on the use and optimisation of existing transport infrastructure to meet current and future local transport needs (including bus network, shuttles, Mont Blanc Tramway, etc.)
